Cross Country: Year 5 and 6

The exhausting cross country race was held at Abbey Fields and was around a mile long. Eight schools competed but unfortunately we came 8th. The cross country had one huge hill that took some effort to climb. The best place for the boys was 27th and for girls was 20th.

The swimming gala took place at Abbey Field’s swimming pool. It was a great success for all involved even though we weren’t victorious. Although challenging, all participants thoroughly enjoyed competing against apposing schools.

Year 1 and 5 had a visit from the fire service.

Year 1 and 5 learnt alot today about fire safety.  They know to phone 999 in an emergency. They know to stop, drop and roll if they are on fire and Miss Cotton dressed up as a firewoman!!

Reception have had green fingers!

Reception have been digging up their garden area today ready to plant herbs and wild flowers next week.  They are very excited to see their seeds grow!

Year 6 became PE teachers

Last Friday year 6 were very responsible and coached year 3 children to play high fives or hockey.  They were very sensible and Year 3 had a wonderful time learning new skills. Well done Year 6!

We had a great time at the toy museum.  We saw a real victorian classroom! We looked at and played with old toys. It was a lot of fun.

Year 3.4 had a Swap Shop

We swapped things that we didn’t need any more such as Lego and football cards.

Even our teachers swapped something. (they weren’t very good things!)

Year 3.4 Took Part in National Climate Week

This week we had a visit from Severn-Trent water. They showed us how to save water.  We also made models out of recycled things. We made robots and other things such as energy saving houses with wind turbines and energy saving kettles! We all enjoyed it and we learnt a lot about the environment.
