The Enormous Turnip – 1W

We rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed and all together we managed to create a fantastic performance of ‘The Enormous Turnip’.

On Friday we performed the play of ‘The Enormous Turnip’ to our parentsĀ in the Key stage 1 Harvest festival show. We worked really hard to remember our words and create our costumes. Our favourite part was singing the songs and wearing our harvest hats.

In the afternoon, we made our own bread rolls, in some magnificent shapes, and ate it all up with our Turnip soup. We also were given extra play by Mr Barrow for collecting the most pride points in the school, we were very proud.

This week we have started to look at Williams Morris, and we are creating our own Autumn prints in the style of Morris. We have really enjoyed learning about doubles, and have even learnt a new fun doubles rap.

We are looking forward to creating our big print picture next week!
