Well it’s been a busy one for Year 5 this week!
We had an absolutely brilliant time at Kenilworth Castle on Wednesday- even though it’s so close to us, it was a first time visit for some. It was great to compare it to Corfe Castle near Swanage. We also got to make our own shields, fire arrows and pretend to be a trebuchet! What a day. We were exhausted by the end of it.
We were then visited by Miss Blower on Thursday afternoon. I went down to teach year 2 and Miss Blower had the pleasure of teaching year 5! They created some detailed and precise water-colour paintings that will be finished next week. I’ll be sure to post the finished product because they currently look fantastic.
Lots of our year 5’s also took part in Bikability on Friday afternoon. They had a wonderful time and learnt lots of valuable skills about staying safe on the road when cycling as well as competing in the slowest cycler races- thankfully the rain held off until right at the end of the session. Perhaps we’ll see a few more bikes in the bike rack soon…
Tomorrow should be a bit more of a normal week for us.
