4L: Epistolaries, Ancient Egyptian Life, and the Library!

This week has been all hands on deck, with lots of exciting learning!

We have been exploring Ancient Egyptian life, through our history and guided reading sessions. We found out what gods they worshipped, what they did for pleasure, and compared our lives to the lives of the Ancient Egyptians.

We have also explored a style of writing which was new to us, an epistolary. We told the story of the discovery of Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb through postcards sent between Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter.

Very excitingly, the all new and improved St. John’s Library was opened today! After a long and arduous wait, we were finally able to explore all of the lovely new books, and take them out to read at school and at home.
