Kenny the Koala in 2T

At the beginning of this half term, we found a lost koala bear on the KS2 playground. We are trying to help this koala because we want him to get back home safely. We have been doing lots of research about Australia because that’s where he is from. We have found out that Kenny lives in a eucalyptus forest but there are also landscapes in Australia such as the outback/bush, cities and beaches. We know that Australia has 7 states – Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia. It also has lots of famous landmarks such as the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru and Sydney Opera House. Australia also has very different animals to what we find in England. They have wallabies, koalas, crocodiles, emus, wombats, Tasmanian devils, kookaburras and many more. We have really enjoyed learning about Australia so far and hope we can return Kenny the Koala home safely.
